Erasmus+ program

Ki.E.Ka. e.V. in now erasmus+ accredited

We are delighted that our daycare centers are now officially participating in the Erasmus+ program! We are very excited and enthusiastic about the many opportunities this opens up for our educational work and intercultural exchange.

Since 2014, Erasmus+ has been bringing educational institutions across Europe together. The program promotes personal encounters, digital exchange, and joint projects between schools, preschools, and daycare centers. The focus is particularly on the topics of inclusion, equal opportunities, and sustainability: values that also play a central role in our daycare centers.

Now we are also part of this inspiring network! In the coming funding period from June 2025 to August 2026, we look forward to getting to know new educational institutions in other European countries, participating in international training courses, and making valuable contacts throughout Europe.

OUR FIRST CONCRETE PROJECT PLANS

Since receiving accreditation, we have been actively working to establish new partnerships and we are now delighted to present our first concrete project plans.

The Erasmus+ project will take place during the week of May 11–16, 2026. Due to the training courses, our daycare centers will be closed during this time.

Further training in Malta: Intensive English course

Four of our employees will attend an intensive language course in Malta. The aim is to improve their English skills so that they are even better equipped to meet the challenges of an increasingly multicultural and multilingual daycare environment in Berlin.

Work shadowing in Greece/Attica: bilingual education, safe kindergarten trips, and new partnerships

Five more employees are traveling to Greece to work shadow at a Greek-Italian kindergarten in Athens. They will gain insights into bilingual language acquisition concepts and learn about new educational approaches.

In addition, they will take part in a Safe Water Sports course together with Greek educators. This course will prepare them for future kindergarten trips near water and also includes a first aid course specifically focused on dangers in and around water.

A special highlight is the emerging cooperation with ARCHELON - Sea Turtle Rescue Society Greece. The organization has been committed to environmental and species protection for many years and is the largest turtle hospital, which operates all year round. Through our visit, we want to learn more about these topics in order to integrate them into everyday life at the daycare center in the future and perhaps one day even get to know the important work with the children on site.

A promising path lies ahead of us

All in all, we are looking forward to an extremely exciting and educational program. We are convinced that we will gain valuable experience, make new connections, and enrich our educational work in the long term.
