Daycare trip to Störitzland

From May 19 to 23, 2025, we once again held our annual daycare trip to the Berlin area.
This year, 18 children aged three and older from all five daycare centers took part.

The destination was the beautiful Störitzland in Grünheide (Brandenburg). This is an 18-hectare fenced-in recreational area with age- and target group-appropriate accommodations. The grounds also feature forests, meadows, playgrounds, and animals such as chickens and rabbits. There is even a small lake with a beach.

A particular highlight was the group hike around the lake, which lasted around 3.5 hours and was completed by all the children with great enthusiasm and stamina. There was also a picnic in the forest and an exciting "night hike" in the evening, which ended with a magical sunset on the beach.

The children also had great fun on the treasure hunt, where teamwork was the order of the day.

The kitchen team at Störitzland provided a wonderful finale on the last evening, grilling sausages, meat, and corn on the cob for dinner. It was delicious!

Overall, the food was very good and well received by everyone. All meals were very varied and served buffet style.

Thanks to the spacious grounds and an excellent staff-to-child ratio, the children were able to move around freely and safely—something that was viewed as particularly positive by everyone involved. Both the children and the teachers are certain: we want to go back!

Registration for the next kindergarten trip in 2026 will therefore start shortly. This is expected to take place in June – in the hope of even better weather so that, among other things, the supervised beach area can be used even more intensively.
